• Book Talk Selection Committee
Will meet 3-4 weeks (Aug-Sept) to suggest fiction and nonfiction titles for 2026 Book Talks. Final selections presented to FOL Leadership by the end of September. List of previous titles considered will be provided. Current volunteers: Megg Galloway, Elaine Kushmaul, Fred VanNaerssen, Lorraine Wilson
We have lots of opportunities for participation with varied time commitments to use your talents, time and energy. We serve the community best when our programs reflect many different voices.
Will meet 3-4 weeks (Aug-Sept) to plan party held in October, establish rules for costume contest and communicate same with FOL publicity reps, decorate library and make suggestions for activities, food/beverages to be served. Current volunteers: Liz Handley, Becky Frusher, Megg Galloway
• Fundraising
Falls under Publicity Committee. Promote FOL membership and library events with informative and engaging displays in the RR Library window in the CATC building. Work 6-8 hours monthly or bimonthly from August 2025 through July 2026.

• Volunteer Recognition Event Planning
Will meet 6-8 weeks (Jan – Feb) to plan volunteer recognition event to be held April 2025. To make suggestions for menu and gifts to FOL leadership by Feb 18. Current volunteers: Debbie Blackburn, Joan Pursley Nancy Tarpley Fred VanNaerssen
• Publicity Committee
Book Club Challenge Subcommittee
Will meet as needed to plan publicity for FOL events. Will coordinate writing of Pioneer Press articles and social media posts with FOL Leadership Committee. Will video and edit select FOL events to be posted on the website. Current members: Becky Frusher, Carol Perry, Bob Horne.
Will solicit volunteers in 2026 to meet in March-April to plan the Book Club Challenge to increase FOL membership during the May 2026 membership drive. Current volunteers: Megg Galloway
Halloween Costume Party Planning Subcommittee
• Officer Nominating Committee
Will meet during spring 2026 as needed to recruit FOL officers for the 26/27 year. This committee will be tasked with finding a candidate for Vice Chair and Treasurer.

Will meet 3-4 weeks (Feb 2025) to devise recruitment plan for officer positions ending June 2025, coordinate with FOL publicity reps to promote officer recruitment, suggest final officer candidates to FOL leadership by Mar 10, 2025. No current volunteers.
